  • Theme: “A Future of Peace
  • Ages: 11, 12, or 13 as of November 15, 2017
  • Prizes (3 places; Gift Cards): $100, $75, $50
  • Requirements: hand done, greater than 13 x 20 in., smaller than 20 x 24 in., no mat or frame, no lettering or numbering, 2-dimensional only
  • November 15: Postmark deadline for a club to send one winning poster (per contest sponsored) to the District Governor.

Internt'l Essay Contest for Visually Impaired Youth

2017-18 International Essay Contest. (Nov. 15, 2017)

Theme: “The Future of Peace

  • Eligibility: Students who are visually impaired
  • Ages: 11, 12, or 13 as of November 15, 2017
  • Prizes (3 places; Gift Cards): $100, $75, $50

Requirements: completed entry form; no longer than 500 words in length, submitted in English, type-written in black ink and double-spaced.

Lions clubs around the world are encouraged to sponsor students in the Lions International Essay Contest. This essay contest was created to offer an opportunity to visually impaired young people to express their feelings of peace. The theme of the 2017-18 Lions International Essay Contest is “The Future of Peace.” Students who are visually impaired and who are ages 11, 12 or 13 on November 15, are eligible to participate.
